The XWiki Team

The months of March and April were marked by a series of events that our colleagues have joined to represent both XWiki and CryptPad. Our team had a blast presenting our latest features, and answering questions about our tools.

Cloud Expo London

Between the 8th to 9th of March, our colleagues Ludovic and Clément attended Cloud Expo London where they had the pleasure of discussing with interested parties about knowledge management, collaboration, and privacy open-source solutions. The event focuses on cloud technology and is a platform where future partnerships and strategies are born.

Clément Aubin, Account Manager

We were thrilled to be part of Cloud Expo London this year to meet existing XWiki and CryptPad users as well as IT experts in the field of knowledge management. This event also allowed us to meet potential partners for bringing XWiki and CryptPad to a broader audience.

Digital Workplace

It is already a tradition for our team to join Digital Workplace and meet with open-source enthusiasts and discuss digital sovereignty. This year, Jean-Sébastien, Ludovic, Clément, and Arnaud represented XWiki and CryptPad during the Open Source Village and further advocated for digital sovereignty and privacy-friendly solutions together with other seven OS software providers.

They also had the honor to discuss the topics of employee commitment in a hybrid company, how to improve knowledge sharing in your organization, and how open-source software ensures sovereignty, security, and simplicity for the end user in a series of round tables.

Journées du Logiciel Libre

Talks will be updated with videos when available.

Ludovic, Clément, and Arnaud joined the 24th edition of Journées du Logiciel Libre in Lyon, an event dedicated to introducing Free and Open Source software to the general public. They had the honor to share impressions, discuss collaboration, and also hold presentations about both XWiki and CryptPad.

In Clément's words, JDLL is a great opportunity to connect with the French free software community and exchange about our solutions. We had a great time exchanging with small organizations and individuals about their use of our software, especially CryptPad, which is widely used in student communities and small nonprofit organizations.

Arnaud Laprevote - CryptPad une suite office chiffrée ?

In this presentation, Arnaud offered a broader perspective on what is CryptPad and all the things that make it a great Google Drive alternative: open-source, encrypted, collaborative web office suite. During the presentation, Arnaud also offered details about how the project was funded between user contributions and third-party funding.

Clément Aubin & Ludovic Dubost - Les métiers d'un éditeur de Logiciel Libre

In this presentation, Clément and Ludovic discussed the way XWiki SAS has been operating for the past 19 years as an open-source sustainable business and the impact this choice had on the development of the company. The presentation touched on the subject of how to maintain a balance between personal and professional life, income, and business objectives, while also allowing the production of free software in an ethical manner.

Arnaud Laprevote - Atelier CryptPad

On the second day, during a dedicated workshop, Arnaud showed to the present audience all the basic functions of CryptPad for both an individual user and a team.
