Whether you are new here or you’ve wished for a while for some particular macros that make Confluence migration 10 times smoother…
…everything you’ve asked for is here.
Today we introduce support for 3 new heavily requested bridge macros: Page Properties, Page Properties Report, Content by Label.
These macros all use CQL — Confluence’s own Query Language. In order to support the migration of these macros, we developed a CQL parser which now enables us to interpret queries created in Confluence.
While this is a definite game-changer in global Confluence migrations…
…the list of exciting news doesn’t stop here! 👀
Thanks to our new Confluence Migration Toolkit, testing our migration capabilities and our Confluence-equivalent macros, it all feels like a relaxed Monday.
Keep reading to find out how these improvements will streamline your transition experience. 👇
Page Properties and Page Properties Report
These two macros are used in conjunction in Confluence to define attributes on multiple pages using the Page Properties macro and then display all the pages with said traits using the Page Properties Report.
Here is a side by side comparison between the content in Confluence and how it looks like in XWiki post import. Please visit our comprehensive documentation for an in-depth look on all the parameters of these macros.
Once the data is migrated, we advise you to use our native App Within Minutes (AWM) feature to define structured data and reuse page templates across your instance. With our powerful AWM, you can effortlessly predefine a structure and fields for your pages and further display all the pages with those properties in a sortable and filterable live table.

Content by Label
The Content by Label macro is used in Confluence to display pages with certain tags associated to them. The display of the macro can be configured to show all labels on each page and the parent space. Similarly to Page Properties Report, CQL queries may be run in Confluence to further refine the search.
After migrating to XWiki, we advise you to use our native tag and tag cloud features in order to filter pages. Additionally, with our robust tag feature, you can effortlessly view pages with a specific label and track the activity stream across all pages associated with that tag.
