We are excited to share with you today that XWiki Cloud is running on version 13.4.3, bringing many new features and improvements, some of which you can learn more about below.
- New Live Data macro
- Like feature disabling
- Better management of notification settings
- Link to the in-place editor
- New "Translate" page button
New Live Data macro
A new Live Data rendering macro is now available to display dynamic lists of data. It is replacing the existing Live Table macro, but it also brings so much more:
- multiple layouts (table, cards, etc.)
- advanced filtering
- multi-sort
- in-place data editing
- real-time synchronization
- support for resizing the table columns
You will already notice the live data macro on your wiki in multiple places, including the Wiki Application, the Panels list, Mail Sending Status list, and Likes in the user profile.
Like feature disabling
It is now possible to disable the Like feature from the XWiki Administration. Disabling it will preserve any existing Like data, but hide this data from the UI.
Better management of notification settings
There are now two types of filters in the notification settings:
- System filters are filters provided as components that users can only enable or disable
- Custom filters are filters dedicated to specific locations, that users can create themselves, enable, disable or delete.
Administrators can now add global notification filters to be copied as the default ones for any new user registering on the wiki. Administrators can also define both global system filters and global custom filters. Any change made to the global filters will not impact existing users.
Additionally, it is now also possible for administrators to access and change a user's notification settings from the Notifications tab, in the user profile.
Link to the in-place editor
Provided in-place editing is enabled, you can now create a link to open a page directly in in-place editing mode, as shown in the below example:
New "Translate" page button
A new Translate button is visible when viewing a page, provided the wiki is multilingual and assuming the page has not been translated to the current user interface locale. This button allows you to create the missing translation.
